On behalf of Team CKON and the Akwesasne Communication Society Board of Commissioners, Niawen Kowa to all of the current and former employees of the Indian Time Newspaper that have helped document the happenings in Akwesasne and across Turtle Island weekly for over four decades.

The time has come…Technology and the constantly changing media landscape have taken away the opportunity to hold an actual newspaper in your hand and that now includes our community’s newspaper.

We encourage people to pullout those old newspapers and clippings from yesteryear to really take a look and remember what our newspaper has brought to us through the years.

Again, Niawen Kowa to everyone that played a role in getting Indian Time Newspaper started way back when and those that were so dedicated and gave all they had in wrapping things up. We will miss you all. It’s Onen Ki, one last time.
