Wally Jacobs Memorial Shuffleboard Tournament and Turkey Shoot 2024

Akwesasne - On Saturday, November 23rd the family of the late Wallace Jacobs Sr. held their annual Shuffleboard Tournament & Turkey Shoot at the American Legion Post 1479 in Akwesasne. This is the 10th year they held the tournament! This year's tournament wasn't easy for the family as they lost a beloved family member. The beneficiaries were the great-grandchildren of Wally. His beloved eldest grandson Dustin went to be with him in Heaven in August and he left behind 4 beautiful children: Eric, Scarlett, Alaia & Astra. With the help of family, friends, and a wonderful community the shuffleboard tournament was a great success!

This year's 2024 winners of the Tournament are as follows: 1st First Place went to Casie Garrow & Jeff Premo; 2nd place went to Sheryl Conners & Carson Oakes and 3rd Place went to Mandy Chase & Jason Cole! They were intense games filled with laughter, lots of fun, door prizes and food!
