Franklin County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC)

The Franklin County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC) was awarded funding through NYS Homes and Community Renewal (NYSHCR) to assist eligible homeowners with repairs to damage caused by Tropical Storm Debby on August 9th and 10th. Assistance is limited to emergency housing repairs necessary to make the home safe, sanitary and habitable.

FUNDING IS AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS.

If you are eligible for this funding opportunity, you will need the following information to complete the application:

Names of all homeowners listed on deed

Year home was built

Year you purchased the home

A list of needed repairs

Cost estimates for repairs

Bank account information

Information on other financial assets

Photos or videos of damage

2023 tax return

Proof of home ownership

Proof that home is primary residence

Denial letter from insurance company

Invoices and proof of payment for repairs already completed

What repairs are covered by the Resilient and Ready Program?

· Electrical and plumbing systems

· Sump pumps

· HVAC systems, water heaters, well water filtration systems

· Appliances (refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers)

· Drywall, insulation, foundation repair

· Windows, doors, siding, roof

· Flooring, bathroom repair, well or septic replacement

· Fuel tanks (oil or propane)

· Dehumidifiers

Applying for the Resilient and Ready Program? Here are some tips:

· Document the damage to your home with clear photographs and videos.

It's important to show your proactive approach by gathering invoices and receipts for any repairs you've already completed.

· Collect your income, homeownership, primary residency, insurance coverage documentation, Tribal Clerk Letter, and Tribal deed.

· Income Verification: Tax return, pay stubs, and bank statements.

· Be prepared to provide two estimates for the repair work if you are awarded funding. Get started on your application:
