A Voice from the Eastern Door
Friday night brought our all kids of ghouls, ghosts, witches and goblins, not to mention several superhero's such as Spiderman, Thor, Captain America and I'm sure I saw Princess Peach and the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz.
Over 750 children and their parents and guardians paraded through the Mohawk International Raceway in Frogtown from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a time that had been set aside specifically for families and persons with special needs from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m.
The Akwesasne Coalition of Community Empowerment gathered all local services agencies, SRMT, APMS, AMAS and HAVFD as well as numerous programs from the north and south side of Akwesasne to handout every kind of Halloween treat a sweet tooth could imagine.
There was a continuous flow of truck or treaters right up until 7:30 in the evening.
