Sparrow Sessions Presents Fall Fest at Akwesasne Skatepark

On Saturday, September 28, the Akwesasne Skatepark came alive with the Sparrow Sessions Fall Fest celebration! Blue skies and a warm breeze set the perfect weather combo for an afternoon of skateboarding demos, music, delicious food, and plenty of prizes.

Sparrow Sessions, MCA Economic Development and the Akwesasne Skatepark teamed up to provide an inclusive skateboarding event – giving Akwesasne youth with an opportunity to socialize and challenge themselves to achieve their skateboarding goals. Supported by the Sparrow Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides helps create a positive and encouraging environment for youth to engage in skateboarding and learn new skills.

So, whether you’re a beginner or just want to improve your skills, experts were there to accompany you through every step with initiatives designed for beginners.

Along with ‘Chef Dojo Mtl’ cooking up a healthy and incredibly tasty lunch for the kids and young adults, ongoing competitions and lessons throughout the day, it was all topped off when a local rapper gave an impromptu performance.
