CKON just celebrated 40 years of service to the community of Akwesasne and surrounding communities. And CKON radio announcer, managing director and local celebrity has been on the air for 34 of those!
On Saturday, September 29, 2024, CKON held a huge birthday bash celebration at the Saint Regis Recreation Center – complete with cake, several bands, and tons of food – all free for anyone attending.
The celebration was well attended by CKON fans – and who isn't a fan of CKON – from across the North Country – and southern Ontario.
Several bands played including Bear Fox, Oshier Country, DJ and the Spaghetti Corner Band, Kae, John and Kathy, The Core, and the River Mohawks.
Congratulation CKON, wishing you another 40 years!
