On September 18th, 2024, four ATV's ridden by four individuals were reported and observed to be riding the ATV's in the area of the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino, State Route 37, Speedway Convenience, and Cook Rd.
The operators of the ATV's were lighting fireworks and throwing them into the roadway where they exploded as vehicles drove past. The ATV's then fled the locations as law enforcement arrived.
The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police are investigating and working to identify the operators of the ATV's. These actions have the potential to seriously harm people and damage property.
