VOYEURISM, INDECENT ACT, INDECENT EXPOSURE

Cornwall, ON – Johnny Sawatis, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 18, 2024, and charged with the following:

Two counts of voyeurism

Indecent act

Indecent exposure to a person under 16 years of age

On Sept. 17, 2024, the man is alleged to have committed voyeurism and an indecent act with a person under the age of 16. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept, 18, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ROOSEVELTOWN MALE ARRESTED FOR STRANGULATION 2ND AND ASSAULT 3RD

On September 18, 2024, State Police members arrested Nathan Benedict, age 45, of Rooseveltown, NY for strangulation 2nd, and assault 3rd.

On September 18, 2024, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Troopers responded to State Route 37 in the town of Fort Covington for an assault complaint. An investigation determined Benedict and the victim were involved in a verbal argument, which became physical when Benedict struck the victim and then placed his hands around the victim’s throat, causing the victim not to be able to breathe. Benedict stopped choking the victim and left.

Troopers located Benedict in bushes placed him in custody, and transported him to SP Malone for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Bombay Court, where he was released under the supervision of probation.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Rahsontanohstha Delormier, 29, of Akwesasne, was arrested on Sept. 19, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 12, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Sept. 19, 2024, the man was located by police at the courthouse. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
