WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – James White, 72, of Akwesasne, was arrested on Sept. 11, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 4, 2023, the man was scheduled to appear in court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Sept. 11, 2024, the man was taken into custody by members of the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed, and the man was released to appear in court on Oct. 17, 2024.

THEFT FROM MAIL

Cornwall, ON – Clarissa Square, 31, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 11, 2024, and charged with theft from mail - sent by post. It is alleged on Sept. 3, 2024, the woman stole mail from an individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 11, 2024, the woman was located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 17, 2024.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Ashley Point-Jacobs, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 12, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Sept. 12, 2024, a member of the CPS conducted a traffic stop in the area of Fourth Street East and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Sept. 12, 2024, the woman was operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 3, 2024.

Cornwall, ON – Noah King, 31, of Akwesasne, was arrested on Sept. 17, 2024, and charged with the following:

Theft of motor vehicle

Dangerous operation

Six counts of operation while prohibited

On July 28, 2024, police responded to a stolen vehicle complaint in the area of Water Street and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man stole a motor vehicle and operated the truck in a dangerous manner. It is also alleged the man was bound by several prohibitions stemming from previous driving infractions. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Sept. 17, 2024, the man was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.
