Shell-Abrating Success at the MCA Turtle Release Party

We had a shell of a time at the MCA Environment Program's turtle release party held on Friday, August 23! A little rain didn't dampen our spirits as Akwesasronon gathered on Kawehno:ke to help return turtles to their natural habitat. 🐢

Snapping turtles, an at-risk species, need our help, and our dedicated Environment team has been working tirelessly to protect their eggs and boost hatchling survival rates. Thanks to the help of community members, we discovered turtle eggs, incubated them, and are thrilled to have released these little guys back into the wild!
