2024 STLC Non-Profit Conference – Renew. Retain. Engage.

CANTON – The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and the Northern New York Community Foundation are pleased to announce the annual 2024 Non-Profit Conference – Renew, Retain Engage is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Best Western University Inn, 90 E. Main Street, in Canton, NY. This year's conference will feature four topic presentations regarding tips to Renew, Retain, and Engage – donors, volunteers, and board members of non-profit and not-for-profit organizations.

Share and discuss how your organization works to create a welcoming environment including what works for you, what challenges you have addressed, and best practices from other non-profits. The four presentations will give you information and ideas on how to energize your organization. Breaks will include business networking with coffee, tea, and light refreshments. The 2024 Non-Profit Conference is sponsored by the Northern New York Community Foundation.

8:40 - 8:55am: Welcome and Introductions by Ben Dixon, Executive Director, St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce

9:00 - 9:30am: Keynote Address: "Renew, Retain and Engage – Your People-Based Solutions" presented by Max DelSignore, Assistant Director, Northern New York Community Foundation

9:35 - 10:05am: Volunteer Engagement and Relationships presented by: Tracy Thomas, Nicandri Nature Center

10:10 - 10:30am: Networking and Volunteer Opportunities

10:35 - 11:00am: Engaging and Retaining Donors presented by: Michelle Carpenter, The Arc of Jefferson & St. Lawrence

11:05 - 11:35am: Board Engagement and Relations presented by: Kelly Chezum, Clarkson University

11:40 - 12:30pm: Networking and Volunteer Opportunities
