A Voice from the Eastern Door

41st Annual Iroquois Arts Festival - Saturday, August 31 & Sunday, September 1, 2024

Celebrate Iroquois creativity and self-expression while enjoying a weekend filled with exciting events and activities

The Iroquois Museum’s annual festival features an Art Market open exclusively to Iroquois artists. Both contemporary and traditional art forms are showcased. With this much talent in one place, visitors are assured of finding a treasure to take home

Other weekend highlights include traditional Iroquois social dances performed by The Sky Dancers from Six Nations Reserve in Ontario. You might even find yourself invited to the dance floor to participate! Onondaga storyteller Perry Ground returns with tales of daring feats and astounding adventures. Local wildlife rehabilitator Kelly Martin will be in attendance to discuss wildlife conservation in our bioregion and display a variety of wild animals including birds of prey. The Museum’s archeology department will be available to help identify archeological finds and give demonstrations of flintknapping and other early technologies. There will be a children's area with art & traditional crafts activities, and an opportunity to sample some delectable Native foods from our Haudenosaunee food vendors!
