HEAD COOK

Indefinite Position

Salary: Pay Band 1 $44,561.92 - $63,425.51

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Student Service Facilitator and onsite supervision of the School Principal, the Head Cook will be responsible to ensure that the nutritional needs of children are met on a daily basis, that the meals are prepared and served efficiently, that health and safety regulations are strictly followed and maintains the budget when ordering supplies.

Qualifications:

➢  Must have a degree, diploma or certification from an accredited food services program with five (5) years work experience in preparing meals in an institutional setting;

OR

➢  High school diploma or equivalent with seven (7) years work experience preparing meals in an institutional setting;

➢  Must have recently completed a Food Handler and Sanitation Course or be willing to enroll and complete the course;

➢  Must have up to date First Aid/CPR training ro be willing to obtain;

➢  Should have some experience in a supervisory position.
