2024 Fort Fest & Artist Festival

The St. Lawrence County Chamber, in partnership with the Fort LaPresentation Association, will host the 2024 Fort Fest – Artist Festival in conjunction with the annual Le Siège du Fort de La Prèsentation reenactment events. Le Siège du Fort de La Prèsentation is a live re-enactment of land and water battles of the French and Indian War in at the Fort LaPresentation property at 22 Albany Avenue in Ogdensburg. This family-friendly event is an opportunity to feature North Country artists to share their unique skills and beautiful artwork and learn about our wonderful history. We want to bring history alive and celebrate local artists in our area.

They are seeking exhibitors to share their talents, perhaps an interactive demonstration or experience and sell some of their work, including (but not limited to): oil and acrylic painting, sculpture, stained glass, pottery, antiques, beadwork, furniture building, metalworking, weaving, basket making, musicians/performance arts, textiles, carving/woodworking, photography, wood burning – whatever your imagination can dream up. Museums – historical associations and anyone with a love of art and/or history are welcome to exhibit at our festival.

They expect to attract visitors from across the region and beyond for a fun and exciting weekend on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. Visitors of all ages will enjoy learning about art and history in St. Lawrence County.

Fort Fest – Artist Festival: Saturday, July 20th, 10:00am - 4:00pm – Local artists, museums and historical associations are warmly invited to attend. One admission covers both events on Saturday, July 20th – this is a one-day outdoor festival.

LeSiege Re-enactment: Saturday, July 20th and Sunday, July 21st on the Fort LaPresentation site, State Highway 68 and Commerce Street/Van Rensselaer (Lighthouse) Point, Ogdensburg –Gates Open at 10 am – Live re-enactment of land and water battles of the French and Indian War. French, British, Native and Maritime Encampments. Children’s Activities. Historical Talks. Demonstrations.

Exhibits. Food Vendor.

Admission: Adults - $5, Children 6-16 - $2.

Free admission for children on Sunday with paid adults.
