Salmon River to Host First-Ever ShamRockin' at the River

Shamrock Community Day on June 15

FORT COVINGTON – On Saturday, June 15, 2024, Salmon River will proudly host its first-ever ShamRockin’ at the River: Shamrock Community Day.

The event will take place on the main campus of Salmon River Central School, 637 County Road 1, Fort Covington, N.Y. 12937, from 11 a.m. until dark.

Everyone in the Salmon River community is invited. Attendees can look forward to a full day of excitement with more than 40 activities and vendors designed for the whole family to enjoy.

Event Highlights:

Activities: Enjoy a range of activities including face painting, mini horse visits and relaxing Reiki and Sound Bath sessions.

Community Resources: Learn more about services from the Saint Regis Mohawk Health Services A/CDP Program and discover exciting job opportunities with Salmon River Central School District. The Franklin County Sheriff's Department will be providing new ID cards for children as part of Operation Safe Child.

Entertainment: Experience an exciting reptile show and a performance from the Salmon River Show Choir. To cap off the day, there will be a movie screening of “Wonka” beneath the stars at 8:30 p.m.

Food: Savor a variety of foods from several food trucks and concession stands.

Physical Activities: Participate in a peaceful yoga session with the Holistic Life Foundation or get active by joining the Shamrock Shuffle 5K Walk/Run/Shuffle.

Vendors: Browse various vendors selling crafts and items ranging from personalized gifts to Tupperware.
