Update on Indian Time Newspaper

Indian Time Newspaper will continue to serve the community of Akwesasne and surrounding areas by featuring three online-only issues and one print issue each month. The next printed issue of Indian Time Newspaper will be distributed and on stands June 6, 2024.

As they continue to work out changes, Indian Time sincerely appreciates your support.

At this phase of restructuring, Indian Time is actively recruiting a bookkeeper/manager and candidates for an Indian Time Board of Directors. If you, or someone you know is interested, please email Indian Time at [email protected] for more information or to send in your resume.

Forecasting ahead, Indian Time plans to increase print issues from once a month to two printed issues each month. The printed issues will be distributed the first week of the month and the third week of each month. This plan is open to consideration and projected to take place at the beginning of September. With more support, Indian Time may be able to consider more print issues.

Before Indian Time went on hiatus, all Indian Time obituaries were are free and accessible –This remains the same with Indian Time adding free access to all ‘Employment” job listings.

During the next few weeks, the online format – ‘look’ of Indian Time is being revamped and updated to make each story stand out in a more organized and streamlined appearance where ads will be clearly seen and visible, without distracting from articles and stories.
