KATHLEEN C. JOCK

HOGANSBURG- Kathleen C. Jock, 65, of 92 St. Regis Road, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Alice Center in Malone.

Kathleen was born February 23, 1959 in Malone, daughter of the late Ivan P. and Marie (Stapleson) Jock. She was a graduate of Salmon River Central School and earned her Administrative Certificate at St. Lawrence College in Cornwall, ON. She married Curtis J. Mitchell with whom she was blessed with three children. The marriage ended in divorce.

She was Traditional and a very proud Haudenosaunee woman. Kathleen was also a member of the St. Regis Senior Citizens and she worked as an EMT for MCA with her late brother Marty and then as an Administrative Assistant until her retirement.

She was strong willed, stubborn, a quick wit and a social character. She was proud of her rebellious streak and was a strong supporter of the cause and always willing to fight the fight. Kathleen always put her best foot forward and was passionate about her community and was always involved in it. She loved music, dancing and singing, and enjoyed visiting with her friends at seniors and playing her electronic games. She had a very big and giving heart and adored being a great grandmother.

Kathleen is survived by her three children Carrie (Glenn) Hill of Hogansburg; Curtis (Stacey Rourke) Mitchell of Snye; and Cory (Claire McFaul) Mitchell of Cornwall; four grandchildren Rain, Ruby, Kairo and Ansley; and her siblings James Jock of Massena; Francis (Linda) Jock of Bombay; Norma Jock of Hogansburg; Heidi (Huey Chandler) Jock of Cornwall; Juanita (Don) Shanklin of Montana and Jerome Jock of Montana.

Besides her parents Ivan and Marie, she was predeceased by her siblings Harvey and Marty Jock and her nephew Mitchell Jock.

Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home Wednesday and Thursday 1-7 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, at 11:00 AM at the Donaldson Funeral Home.
