RONALD M. "RASENAKAION" JOCK

AKWESASNE- Ronald M. "Rasenakaion" Jock, 50, of 7 St. Regis Road, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at the Massena Hospital.

Rasenakaion was born on January 5, 1974 in Malone, son of Warren Jock and the late Patricia Ann (Jacobs) Jock. He was a graduate of Salmon River Central School and served in the US Marine Corps from 1992 until his honorable discharge in 1996.

Ronald was a member of the Longhouse. He was a security guard at Queen Leaf in Akwesasne, having previously worked security for the Ganienkeh Territory. He was a valet at the Akwesne Mohawk Casino and Resort for a time. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed, especially with mechanical work. He was a huge fan of WWE wrestling and the Boston Bruins.

He is survived by his father Warren Jock of Akwesasne; his son RayVaughn Pyke-Jock and chosen daughter Angelique Mitchell-Pyke, both of Hogansburg; and his sister Heather (Patrick) David of Cornwall Island; his aunts and uncles Carol Thompson, David Jock, Barbara Mitchell. Harriet Cheek, Mike Jock, Kathy White, Alvin Jock, Mark Jock, Connie Gibson, Roger Jock, Glen Jock, Nelson Jock, Patricia Barnes, Maureen (Howie) Thompson, Sandy Hodges of Syracuse, Phillip Jacobs of Watertown, Gloria Jacobs of Millen, Georgia; along with six nieces and nephews; two great nephews; and many many cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother Patricia Ann Jock on October 7, 2017; his maternal grandparents Alexander Jacobs and Harriet Thompson; and paternal grandparents Edgar and Ann Jock.

Friends may call at the Indian Way Longhouse on Jock Road beginning Wednesday at 1:00 PM until the time of service on Friday at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place following the service at the Jock Family Cemetery.
