Akwesasne: Catherine Nadine Nicole Martin, born November 8, 1990, devoted mother, daughter, sister, and aunt of Akwesasne, passed away unexpectedly on October 29th, 2023, at the age of 32.
The eldest daughter of Theresa Connors is survived by her four children Sadie Martin, Ronin Miller, Tucker Monroe, and Aliliana Gollinger.
She is also survived by her parents, Theresa Connors and James Martin; her sisters, Jessica Connors and her partner, Austin Davenport, Tiffany Connors and her partner, Samuel Belge; her brother, Hodesidahe; her aunt, Karen Oakes; her uncles, Mark Boots, Patrick Connors, William Martin, Micheal Cook, and Ron Cook; her grandparents Louis and Dianne Connors and her former husband Allen Martin.
Catherine was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, William Martin, and her uncle Charles Cook.
Catherine attended Salmon River Central School and Massena Central High School.
She worked at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino as a table games dealer, at Taco Bell, and the Highland Nursing Home. Catherine enjoyed taking care of her four children and her niece Freyja, always planning a creative and fun day for them. She enjoyed drawing, coloring, and learning new recipes and aspired to be an auto- mechanic. She was a proud girl scout and former Salmon River basketball player.
Friends and family are invited to call at the Donaldson Funeral Home in Massena on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 10:00 am until time of service at 4:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to local sober living facilities.
