Second Annual Ice Cream Social a Smash

Dark clouds and the threat of rain didn't put a damper on the Second Annual Ice Cream Social held at Generations Park. The Solomon Lacrosse Box filled quickly with Akwesasne Elders enjoying several types of ice cream with all the toppings.

Live entertainment was provided by Sugarbear Wil Sunday and Johnny B. – Johnny Bigtree of the Aboriginal Outlaws.

Tina Thompson of Queena Ribbon Designs held a children's fashion show – complete with a runway through the rows of Elders – providing each with a front row view of their colorful original designs.

Several departments from Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and the Saint Regis Tribe provided excellent and welcoming service to Akwesasne's seniors.
