Search Warrants Executed In Relation To Cornwall Shooting Incident

As part of a probe into a shooting incident tied to members of the Outlaws and Loners motorcycle gangs in eastern Ontario, law enforcement officials conducted search operations in Cornwall and Brockville, according to the police.

The night of July 8th, a confrontation involving gang members resulted in two people being stabbed and another shot in Cornwall, Ont. Following this, on Monday, the Outlaws’ clubhouse in Brockville was set ablaze in a fire that’s now suspected to be arson by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). The blaze damaged multiple neighboring homes and caused residents to be evacuated.

The OPP, supported by the local police in Cornwall, Brockville, Kingston, and Ottawa, executed search warrants at five sites in Cornwall and one in Brockville on Friday morning.

“These warrants were in relation to ongoing investigations in these two communities,” the OPP said.

Further details have not been disclosed. During the execution of search warrants at five residences in Cornwall, law enforcement used distraction devices, clarified Cornwall police, while also confirming that no firearms were discharged. The properties that underwent the search operations are located on Champlain Drive, Montreal Road, Arthur Street, Guy Street, and Gulf Street.

“The warrants were executed as a result of an ongoing investigation following a shooting that occurred in the city of Cornwall on the night of July 8,” said Cornwall police. They added that more information regarding arrests will be released soon.

Police recommend that individuals avoid approaching Outlaw Motorcycle Gang members and donning gang-related attire or memorabilia.

“In addition to supporting illegal activities by purchasing these items, you may also put yourself at risk of being targeted by rival OMGs,” the OPP said.
