Her father, Ron Lafrance stated, "She has worked tirelessly at her first love since she was in 2nd Grade. I would like to thank all of her teammates who have helped her along the way and her attack partner Joryan Adams for helping her achieve this amazing feat since she was a freshman."
At the Madrid-Waddington Invitational held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, Cayde Lazore won the 800-meter run and was named "Outstanding Male Runner."
Makenna Manson was named "Outstanding Female Sprinter" breaking the school record in the 200 meters with a time of 26.59.
