Clarkson Now Offering Online MBA Advanced Certificate Options, Local Concentration Option

Are you looking to brush up on your management skills? Clarkson University’s David D. Reh School of Business now offers, as a part of the online MBA program, three state-registered advanced certificates. There is also a specialized concentration option in data analytics.

Students can now enroll in a Certificate in Human Resource Management, a Certificate in Management and Leadership, or a Certificate in Global Supply Chain Management.

The Certificate Program in Human Resource Management will provide the educational background necessary to make informed decisions in management as related to human resource issues. The certificate holder will have the resources for strategic critical thinking necessary to optimize the human resources of an organization.

The Certificate in Management and Leadership is designed to give entry and middle-level managers the core business skills in organizational processes, change management, resource management, and leadership. It is focused on assisting managers and executives in enhancing their management and leadership skills in order to positively affect their current organization and provide them with career advancement potential.

The principles behind supply chain management focus on developing seamless flows of raw materials, products/services, information, and financial capital. The supply chain starts at the initial design process, includes raw material sourcing, and logistics, and continues through the delivery of that product or service to the end customer, with a goal of creating customer satisfaction at optimal cost.

The Reh School is also offering a concentration in Data Analytics. These courses are designed to provide you with insights into the use of big data for strategic decision-making and are a pathway into the MS, Applied Data Science program, where 9 credits of coursework completed in the MBA can also be counted in that program.

“These curricular changes reflect our continued commitment to responding to the needs of the market and the employers that we work closely with. Our commitment to developing leaders is well known across the Reh School of Business, and we take great pride in preparing the leaders of today, and tomorrow,” said Floyd Ormsbee, Associate Dean for Graduate Operations in the Reh School of Business.

The online MBA program was recently recognized as #11 in the country by Best Business Schools, as well as #37 by Fortune magazine. Designed for the working professional, enrollment begins four times a year, with flexible scheduling and individualized student support.
