Please join us for the presentation of the “My World” award to be bestowed posthumously to Joellene Adams on Thursday, September 15, 2022 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Tsi Snaihne Recreation Center. The recipient of this prestigious award has demonstrated a lifetime of dedication for peace and justice. Joellene has been selected for her peacemaking abilities and leadership to bring harmony and unity in times of crisis and upheaval.

She will be honored for her unwavering lifelong dedication to fair, just and honest dialogue for the well being of her family and the entire community including being director of Skennenkowa, an organization of peace in Akwesasne. The mediation center forever remains as a historical credit to all of the many stakeholders and all of the community members who participated in Skennenkowa for the benefit of the next seven generations. A model for the world. All are welcome.
