DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SOCIAL SERVICES: AKWESASNE FAMILY WELLNESS CENTER WASHROOM RENOVATIONS
Tenders, sealed in envelopes and clearly marked as to the contents, will be received by Leslie Papineau, A/Director of the Department of Infrastructure, Housing and Environment. CIA#3, Administration Building, Cornwall Island, Ontario K6H 5T3, Telephone (613) 936-1548, until:
11:00 a.m., Local Time, Friday September 9, 2022
On the same day, commencing at 11:05 a.m. local time, the tenders will be opened and read publicly at the Cornwall Island Administration Office #3 on Kawehnoke.
The intent of this tender call is to obtain an offer to perform work to complete the following:
Washroom additions and renovations for 4 washrooms at the Akwesasne Family Wellness Center, on Cornwall Island (Kawehnoke).
This includes supplying the labor and installation for the following items which is not limited to:
Existing floor removal
Concrete cutting and trenching for new plumbing
New plumbing works associated with the new washrooms
New HVAC works associated with the new works
New bulkheads as required for the mechanical works
New electrical work as per the drawings.
New flooring and finishing as required
All materials for the scope of work (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, finishing work) related to the Project will be supplied and purchased by the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne.
A mandatory site visit will be held on Thursday, August 25th, 2022 at the Project Site: 19 Kawehnoke Apartment Rd, Cornwall Island, Akwesasne, ON, K6H 5R7. Failure to attend the site visit and fill out the sign in sheet will result in a non-compliant bid submission.

Tenders must be accompanied by a tender deposit payable to the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne as follows:
for First Nations contractors in the form of a certified cheque, bank draft or money order in the amount of 10% of the total tender price to a maximum of $20,000
for all other contractors as a Bid Bond for an amount equal to 10% of the total tender price.
Evaluation of all tenders will follow the Tendering Policy of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, which is intended to increase the participation of local and other Aboriginal businesses in construction and materials supply contracting. Tenders are subject to a formal contract being prepared and executed. The Council reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and the lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
