A Voice from the Eastern Door
It is difficult to describe just how much everyone’s kind words, gestures and showing of support in our time of need meant to us. To have a reminder from the people that care for us that we are not alone in our grief is immeasurable. Thank you for reaching out and sharing your condolences, stories and fond memories. It is only with the help of the wonderful people in our lives that we will be able to get through this.
We would especially like to thank Kim Chubb, Diane Boots, Jenny Francis and Hattie Edwards for preparing our loved one from picking out her clothes, dressing her and being a constant pillar to us, for all the family and friends who stopped by the house and donated food, drinks, wood, monetary donations, and their time to ensure everyone was fed and for the men and women watching the fire and the feeling of family that was exuded around the sacred fire. Special thanks to the speakers, Richard Mitchell and Francis Boots, Chad Benedict for leading our loved one out by song, the men’s and women’s groups that sang at the burial site. To the people, family members and chosen family who showed up and supported us we are overwhelmed by all the support we were shown.
Lastly to Donaldson Funeral Home and Chad for all their work.
Thank you from Patricia (Francis) Boots’ whole family: Harvey, Roberta and
David, Wanda and Dave, Holley and Quinn, Karl and Adam, Kyle and Lois, Jacy, and Clint and all the grandchildren.
