A Voice from the Eastern Door
The Native North American Travelling College would like to say Niawen:kowa to our community members, neighboring friends and family for all of the amazing support in making this year’s 2022 Children’s Powwow such a big success! It’s been a few years since we’ve had the last Children’s Powwow in 2019 – the spirit and generosity of those who contributed to this success is greatly appreciated.
We would like to give a special thanks to Becky Bero, Joanne Swamp and Amanda Cook who started it all. They have, year after year, made their special contributions, hard work and dedication in making the Children’s Powwow a successful event from the start! Niawenko:wa to our NNATC staff, Iakonikonriiosta, Nanci Ransom, Becky Bero, Maie Thomas, Fred Thompson, Keane Thompson-Point, Logan Herne and Grace Point. Niawenko:wa to Ava Swamp and Carter Swamp for reciting the Ohenton Karihwatehkwen.
Thank you for the volunteers, Martha Mitchell, Dwight Bero, Josh Jock, Dean George, Krystian Mitchell, Amber Dawn Lafrance and anyone who reached out to help us on that day.
