REGISTERED NURSE

FULL TIME INDEFINITE INDIGENOUS HEALTHY BABIES HEALTHY CHILDREN COMMUNITY HEALTH DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

SALARY LEVEL: RN01 ST1 $72,848.69

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working within the context of a multidisciplinary community health team, the Registered Nurse in the Indigenous Healthy Babies Healthy Children (IHBHC) Home Visiting Service will be responsible for the delivery of comprehensive assessment, client education and counselling, and care coordination and delivery for women and families and promotion of positive parenting and promotion of optimal child growth and development during the pregnancy period through age six, using culture as a foundation to providing services. The RN provides services within the jurisdiction of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing (BScN) from a Canadian University with 3 years’ experience OR

Diploma in nursing from a recognized Canadian college with 5 years’ experience working in a related field

Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario or Ordre des Infirmieres de Quebec, or have completed registration with the Ordre des Infirmieres de Quebec within 90 days of employment start date.
