ABGC Farm to School Project Coordinator

Salary Range: $18.00/hour – Full Time, Term filled immediately and ends July 31, 2022

Status: Full-Time Contract - Non-Exempt

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Project Coordinator will provide oversite and manage overall daily operations of the ABGC Farm to School Project with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of the staff, community relations and youth participation administration.

KEY ROLES:

Leadership - Plans and oversees the administration of a farm to school programs and activities that supports the Boys & Girls Club Movement Youth Development Strategy;

Planning - Ensure the evaluation of required programs on a continual basis and ensures programs/activities respond to youth needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.

Resource Management - Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of the project's budget, ensuring that programs and activities are operated within established budgetary guidelines;

Marketing and Public Relations - Increase visibility of project via posting outreach to existing and development of new community partners, advertising announcements of upcoming events and the dissemination of timely information.

Other Duties - May be required to drive Club van periodically, local travel to community-based organizations, business travel to attend meetings and conferences. Communications with parents and guardians concerning youth and program activities and/or issues.

Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, and advise/counsel.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Two-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience or currently working towards a degree in the related field. A minimum of one-years' work experience in a youth serving organization. Knowledge and understanding of Akwesasne community, values, traditions and social norms.
