FULLTIME INDEFINITE HIRE WHOLISTIC HEALTH AND WELLNESS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Wholistic Health and Wellness Program Manager, the incumbent’s priority is to supervise and support the cultural, health and wellness pathway of all clients. This includes direct supervision, assisting and guiding the traditional medicine team to identify the health needs of clients and their family; ensuring plans of care reflect continuity and an integrated approach to quality care, advocacy and networking. The incumbent work collaboratively with the Mental Health Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, Psychologist, Psychiatrist and the WHW EHIS. The Mental Health Supervisor will support and increase accessibility, coordinate client services, the provision of psychotherapy, program development, program evaluation, reporting, crisis response, development of policies and procedures, strategic Planning and complete staff training plans. This includes supervision, support and evaluations for Mental Health Therapists. The supervisor will promote safe clinical practices for clients at the Kanonhkwatsheri:io Health Facility and all other MCA service locations. The Mental Health Supervisor will oversee patient records; employee performance and collaborate with other health care professionals to deliver quality care to community members. The Mental Health Supervisor will assist with administrative responsibilities, reporting and any financial requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree of Social Work, Psychology or other equivalent Mental Health degree
Good Standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association of Ontario and is qualified to practice in both Ontario and Quebec (or willing to obtain dual certification).
Three (3) year experience working in a community leadership/mentoring capacity.
Certification in Clinical supervision and/or case management an asset.
Pass a Mandatory criminal/vulnerable sector reference check.
