Project: Iohahi:io Micro-Credential Programming
Iohahi:io Akwesasne Education and Training Institute (IAETI) has received funding from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities to be used for the development of a series of Micro-credentialed programs. Micro credentials represent competencies identified by employers/industry sectors to meet employer needs that may provide clear and seamless pathways across different credentials (both non-credit and credit) and may be stackable.
The goal of Iohahi:io is to provide learning and training opportunities that increase student abilities, allowing them to acquire new skills and further enhance their potential to obtain employment. Iohahi:io has always used Employment-readiness programming as well as Work Integrated Learning, that responds to local community and labor market needs. The Micro-credentialed programs will offer placement opportunities to provide students with practical, real-world experience. Project Duration: January 2022 - April 2022
This is a wonderful opportunity to create learning experiences. As part of our team, you will design and create curriculum materials to meet the requirements of the Iohahi:io Micro-credential program. We are seeking the support of experienced professionals in the fields below to Design and Develop curriculum for the following programs:

1. Supply Teacher Youth Sector Program Pre-k to 8
2. Early Childcare Supply Educator Program
3. Bus Driver Training Program
4. Leisure/Recreational for After school / Summer Programs
5. Up Skilling of Administrative Assistant Program
6. From Employee to Manager Program
7. Food Sovereignty Program
Curriculum Design and Development Specialist Deliverables:
● Define course objectives
● Design content, delivery and assessment methods
● Determine ways to integrate technology into the classroom via online and on-site
● Develop, evaluate and revise curriculum as needed
● Create training materials to educators
● Report and work collaboratively with the Academic Manager and assigned Coordinator for designated program training development
