If you’ve ever had to go to Dr. Danielle Dubuc’s office, you know who my sister Deanie is. She has worked with the community for many years helping you with your eye care needs.

On August 12, 2021, my family was devastated when my sister Deanie had suffered a stroke. MCA Ambulance was called and they transported her to Cornwall and then she was transported to Ottawa. Since then our lives have been filled with tears, worry, stress and all the emotions that come with bad news. Friends of mine immediately did a collection for my family for travel expenses back and forth to Ottawa.

My family, namely Danielle Sunday-Mitchell stepped up to raise funds for Deanie and our family. I know people say we live in an community of people who are willing to help out and that is definitely true!!! I am touched by the amount of people that have donated and bought spots on a wheel and on a joker board. You are all amazing!!

Deanie is making small improvements everyday, they may not be much but it’s a big step forward. Its going to be a very long road for her but our family is going to push her to recover from this.

We want to thank everyone who has helped out. I hope I have all the names; however, if I miss anyone I’m truly sorry, it was not intentional.
