Linda Mustaffa passed away at the age of 81, on Sunday, June 20, 2021, in Hemet,
California. She was born to John Cooke and Josephine (Herne) Cooke, on Wednesday, November 29, 1939, in Akwesasne, New York, and was one of twelve children.
While Linda balanced her career as a school bus driver, she was also an amazing and dedicated mother. She was blessed with six children that would later make Linda a grandmother as well. In her spare time, she enjoyed the beach, gardening, and puzzles.
Linda's favorite sports teams were the RAMS and the Lakers. She was a very hardworking soul who served as a pillar of strength for others. Linda's love for her family was immeasurable.
She married David Mustaffa of Massena, NY. The marriage ended in divorce, but they remained close throughout the years.
Linda is survived by her loving children, Gwendolyn Aragon, Diane Adams, Danny Mustaffa, and Dawn (John) Dickson; her loving grandchildren, Darren, Kristy, David,
Jessica, Tommy, Faleena, Ben, Dillon, Dane, Lauren, and Jacquelyn; her adoring great-grandchildren, Josiah, Jeremiah, Gage, Rayden, Zayden, Johnny, and Charlie; and her caring siblings, Alice Chapman of Akwesasne; Arlene Cooke of Fayetteville, New York; Nora (Alan) Ruthig of Manlius, New York; Verna (Mark) Slingerland of Syracuse, New York. Also survived by brothers, Joe (Andria) Cooke of Akwesasne.
Richard (Darlene) Cooke of Akwesasne; Adrian (Trish) of Castleton, New York;
Dean Cooke of Tsi Snaihne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine Cooke; her 2 sons, David and Johnny; and her three siblings, sister and brother-in-law Roberta and Alex Garrow of Akwesasne; brother and sister-in-law David (Duffy) and Sieglinda Cooke of Chino, California; and brother Ronald and sister-in-law Edna Cooke of Glendora, California.
Services will be held privately at a later date.
