Salmon River 16, Canton 5

Salmon River Shamrocks girls lacrosse capped off an undefeated 16-0 season by successfully defending their school's Section X girls lacrosse championship title, after a year hiatus due to the pandemic. Canton's Etta Coburn led the Bears with two goals and one assist in the final and was named Section X girls lacrosse MVP for the season. Haley Stevenson scored twice for Canton and Hannah Reed registered Canton's lone goal of the second half. The final score was 16 to 5.

Coach Lafrance said, "This was the greatest team I have been around. We had set a goal to repeat as Section X Champions last year, then the world fell apart and we had our season taken from us. This year we shot out of the gates quickly and never looked back. With all the success we had this year there was also some setback. Early in the season we lost one of key midfielders, Teya Mitchell to a season ending injury and also Ariyah LaFrance to an illness that left her hospitalized for the playoffs and championship run. I would like to dedicate this championship run to those two girls who are major components to the success of this team."
