Job Title: Museum Store Coordinator Part-time 20 hrs/week

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday and alternate Saturdays

Pay: $15.00 per hour

This position is responsible for the operation of the Sweetgrass Gift Shop including:

Record daily cash transactions, prepare monthly deposits, provide financial reports

Maintain merchandise inventory, care for organization and displays for museum store

Manage social media and online presence to promote Akwesasne Cultural Center

Provide excellent customer service in person, online or on the phone.

Other duties as assigned which may include providing limited assistance in caring for or developing museum exhibits

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 1-year post-secondary education or training in related field

Prior retail sales/customer service experience involving cash register and proper cash handling policies

Proficient computer skills and familiar with Excel, Word and Microsoft office programs

Excellent customer service skills and team player

Preferred:

2 years post-secondary business education/experience or a combination of both

Familiarity with Traditional Haudenosaunee Arts
