PAY LEVEL: OPSEU HOUSEKEEPER $19.17

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for cleaning and maintaining an infection free environment for all residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

One (1) year demonstrated work experience to include cleaning processes, understanding of chemical use and hazards, the use of commercial equipment and cleaning tools

Experience in a long term care setting preferred

This is considered a essential service position

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be dependable and able to understand and maintain confidentiality;

Must be able to show good judgment when dealing with residents, family members, visitors and other staff members;

Be willing to work weekends and holidays in accordance with the scheduling needs of the facility;

Must be physically able to perform all aspects of the position.
