A Voice from the Eastern Door
01.29.21. AKWESASNE - The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting four (4) new cases of COVID-19 today, which makes 22 total active cases under the Tribe's jurisdiction. We are pleased that one (1) of our relatives has resolved since yesterday however, 57 of our family members and friends remain in quarantine. Please be kind and wish them all a safe recovery.
The continual rise in positive cases, including individuals in quarantine, is primarily due to direct contact with individuals from other households. As a result, the EOC urges everyone to limit your interactions to only those in your immediate household. Please avoid private, uncontrolled gatherings where there are no safety measures being followed; such as no masks being worn nor any social distancing being practiced.
If you have a non-emergency matter, please call the Emergency Operations Center at (518) 320-0019; Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
