JUSTIN STEWART "TEHORIWATHE" ALTMAN

Justin Stewart "Tehoriwathe" Altman, 32, a lifelong resident of Hardee County, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at his home in Bowling Green. He was born in Hillingdon, London, England on March 8, 1988. Justin's parents, Marty and Jean, had both served in the United States Navy, stationed in London, England. Justin was a member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. Justin and his brother Jake enjoyed their yearly visits to Akwesasne, visiting their cousins and learning lacrosse. Justin enjoyed playing baseball, having played in Hardee County starting with T-Ball through his senior year in high school. One of Justin's fondest memories was when he was in All-stars and hit his Grand Slam. He was Catholic by faith. Justin proudly served as a corpsman in the United States Navy. He was stationed overseas in Naples, Italy, then Camp Lejeune, NC.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Stewart and Christie Thompson.

He is survived by his parents, Marvin and Jean Marie Altman of Bowling Green, Fl; brother, Jacob William Altman of Bowling Green, Fl; paternal grandparents, Frank and Dorothy Goodson of Avon Park, Fl; paternal uncle, Walt Altman (Betty) of Wauchula, Fl; paternal aunt, Angie (Bryan) Kleese of Sierra Vista, AZ; maternal uncle, Leslie (Elaine) Thompson of Akwesasne, NY; maternal aunt, Linda A Howe (Craig Bader) of Fairhaven, NY; godparents and uncle, Jerry Thompson (Connie) of Akwesasne; godparent, Ian S. Howe (Cindy) of Rochester, NY. Fondly remembered by other aunts, uncles and cousins. A Visitation will be held in the Robarts Garden Chapel Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Funeral Services will follow at 6:30 pm in the Robarts Garden Chapel. Father Oscar Mendoza will be officiating.
