Emergency Food Distribution- Akwesasne: multiple organizations and businesses joined forces to provide food to those in need; while many hardworking Akwesasronon made sure food distribution was a success. "Since March 16th, then need to assist our vulnerable community was identified and employees from different programs came together to provide food boxes for AMBE families, elders, and community boxes for pickup in all three districts. The food distribution crew packaged and delivered over 900 boxes per week. A special thanks to Burnabrae Farms for their donation of eggs, CKON, Native Trading Associates, Tarbell Management Group, Thompson Land Works, United Way, Various Akwesasne businesses and community who donated PPE to staff. The Akwesasne Online Benefit Bingo/Wheel Extravaganza: a grassroots gambling group, who recently donated $6000 to the Onkwe Community garden. "We searched several suggestions and finally decided to give our community fund to Nelson & Turk Jock of Onkwe... They run a community garden and are teaching anyone who wants to learn the old ways of making and maintaining a garden, it's a very commendable operation that is there for anyone, if you want to learn or just help... the end result is feeding a nation" stated one of the organizers, Marlon Johnson.

SRMT's Office of the Family Advocate and the Akwesasne Convenience Store Association: the ACSA generously donated face masks to the Office of the Family advocate, who in turn are distributing to Akwesasronon, free of charge. "The Tribe's Office of the Family Advocate expresses many Niawen: Kowa/ Thank you very much to the Akwesasne Convenience Store Association for their generous donation of homemade masks to help our elderly and those in need. The masks are made from cloth and are available from the Family Advocates Office. Seniors and those who run errands for the elderly are asked to call their office at 518-358-3021 to schedule a pickup.
