Iakwa'shatste Youth Fitness Promotes Virtual Fitness from a Distance

On Monday April 6th, Iakwa'shatste Youth Fitness began their first week of an ongoing scavenger hunt encouraging the youth to stay active while adding a local spin onto the scavenger hunt.

Each day, one of the ladies at Iakwa'shatste takes a photo in front of a location with a vague clue and posts it on Iakwa'shatste Facebook page. It was up to families to guess the location of where the photo was taken.

For example, on day 1 of the scavenger hunt, Iakwa'shatste's Elisha King stood in front of A'nowara'ko:wa Arena and took a photo, with the caption "Home to Wolves, Storms and Indians, where is Elisha Today?". Once families figured out where the location was, they were asked to complete a set of exercises, also shared on Iakwa'shatste Facebook page. Families were then asked to send proof of the completed exercises to their page by 8 pm, the same day the clue was given.

The Scavenger hunt will go on until April 17th, so if you haven't heard about, you have until Friday at 8 pm to try your luck at Iakwa'shatste 10 Day Virtual Scavenger Hunt and Fitness Challenge. Some of the amazing prizes to be won by those who complete the fitness challenge and guess the location before the deadline; are prizes such as:
