Akwesasne Boys & Girls Club Keeps the Spirit of Easter Alive

By: Jaclyn Hall

The Akwesasne Boys & Girls Club took the initiative to help raise the spirits of the young families in Akwesasne by organizing a community wide ABGC Vehicle Easter Egg Hunt. They challenged families to take a trip around Akwesasne – from the safety of their vehicle – in search of 'eggs' posted up throughout the community, from April 8th to 10th.

Many families went out in search of the hidden Easter eggs in an attempt to find all eleven signs with an Easter egg on the front. The Easter eggs were well hidden in outdoor locations such as Heart to Heart Fitness Center, Saint Regis Mohawk School, Generations Park and the St. Regis Recreation to name a few. The families who were able to find all eleven eggs were asked to submit proof to the Akwesasne Boys & Girls Club Facebook page to be entered into multiple draws with all sorts of great prizes to be won, both Easter themed baskets and gift certificates.

Please remember to stay safe and to stay inside your vehicle while taking part in any challenges.
