A Voice from the Eastern Door

Social Media Workshop for Farmers and Food Entrepreneurs

Farmers and food entrepreneurs don’t want to lose precious time to unexpected computer headaches. Join us at the Extension Learning Farm in Canton with instructor Nicole Ouellette of Breaking Even Communications to demystify maintaining an effective and attractive business presence on the internet.

Social media is the number one way many of your customers and potential customers hear about and buy from businesses. In this workshop, we’ll look at Facebook and Instagram in particular with a food business lens talking about crafting effective posts, creating ads and driving sales using the two most popular social media sites online. Twitter or Pinterest, will be discussed briefly.

Social Media for Farmers and Food Entrepreneurs will be held on Friday March 27, 10am-noon. This program is free and open to the public. To register for this opportunity or see the full schedule of upcoming programs, visit the event page at http://stlawrence.cce.cornell.edu/. In addition to this workshop, Ms. Ouellette is also teaching Ecommere: Selling Online 101 on April 11, 10am-noon at the Learning Farm. Contact the Local Food Program Leader Maria “Flip” Filippi with questions at (315) 379-9192, ext. 229 or [email protected].
