POTSDAM: SUNY Potsdam’s Department of Theatre and Dance annual Ten-Minute Play Festival from Nov. 14-16 in the Black Box Theater, located in the College’s Performing Arts Center, 7:30 p.m., free and open to the public; some plays contain content which is suitable for mature audiences only; 315-267-2556.

Nov. 15 - POTSDAM: Free class for seniors ages 60 and older to learn more about “Online Rx drug resources, Online travel sites;” Potsdam Public Library; two classes offered: one class at 10 a.m. and a second class at 11:30 a.m; to register, contact ssachs@potsdamlibrary.org or call 315-265-7230; part of “Explore Tech Lecture Series” led by Michael from Senior Planet North Country.

Journey West

Sat. Nov. 16 - CANTON: St. Lawrence University’s String Orchestra will present “Journey East with Journey West,” at 8 p.m. in Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall located in Griffiths Arts Center; free and open to the public; Journey West is an eclectic ensemble which explores folkloric musical traditions spanning the Middle East, Eastern and Western Europe, and North America; musical adventure starting in Finland, through Romania and ending up in Turkey and Egypt.

Dinosaurs class

Sat. Nov. 16 - POTSDAM: Join St. Lawrence University’s Paleontologist Dr. Nagel-Myers and her Dinosaurs class for this drop-in family workshop at the North Country Children’s Museum, 10 Raymond St. from 11 a.m. to noon; this hands-on program, allows participants to learn about the different types of dinosaurs; activity stations will be set up where children can explore how dinosaurs lived and what bones can teach us; geared for children 12 and under and their families; no pre-registration required; price included with membership and/or admission; more information at http://www.northcountrychildrensmuseum.org
