The Massena Raiders and Salmon River Shamrocks volleyball teams fared well in recent tilts with Tupper Lake, Brushton-Moira, Chateaugay and Malone.
The 'Rocks beat the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks 3-0. The scores were 25-10, 25-17 and 25-18. Kylee Smoke fashioned 10 service points and six assists. Tyana Benedict served up nine points with four kills. Rylie Gray had seven service points and seven kills. Ryanna Bero tallied seven service points and seven assists. Kendall Jock served five points and made four kills. Kania Swamp had three service points and four kills. Halle Lazore chipped in six assists.
The same day, Massena hosted the Brushton-Moira Panthers and won 3-0. The set scores were 25-11, 25-14 and 25-16.
Two nights earlier, Massena beat the Chateaugay Bulldogs by a 3-0 sweep. The scores were 25-18, 25-9 and 25-15.
On the same night, Salmon River defeated the Franklin Academy Huskies 3-1. The Shamrocks won the first set 25-16, then Malone rebounded to win the second 26-24. Salmon River came back and won the next two 25-13 and 25-14. Riley Gray had a big night with 28 service points and seven kills. Ryanna Bero served up 15 points with three assists. Kayla Cunningham served up 13 points. Tyana Benedict made eight kills. Kyra Cree served four points. Kylee Smoke tallied six assists. Halle Lazore had five assists.
