MARY A. PECORE

BRASHER FALLS - Mary A. Pecore, 61, of 1018 County Route 53, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Mary was born on September 30, 1957 in Massena, daughter of Judy Barney Rubado and the late Joseph Rubado. She was a graduate of St. Lawrence Central School, and on July 8, 1977 married Frank V. Pecore at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hogansburg.

Mary was a dedicated Family Services Advocate for the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe Headstart. She loved children, and always treated their needs with priority. She was a hard worker and enjoyed the many friendships she made and enjoyed her trips to the Casino. Mary cherished her family and would do anything for them, especially her grandchildren. And as a DIYer, she loved to find and plan projects for her and Frank.

Mary is survived by her husband Frank, and her two daughters, Karey Ann and Shawn Hebert of Brasher Falls, and Kandy Jo and Leonard Garrow of Hogansburg; three grandchildren, Kyle Joseph Hebert, Kenzy Ann Hebert and Ophelia Elizabeth Garrow; her mother Judy Rubado of Brasher; her sisters, Joan and Robert Clark of Brasher, Tammy and Robin LaVare of Bombay, Jody and Chad Ward of Helena, Kay Rubado of Massena, and Amy and Trevor French of Brasher; and one brother, John and Melissa Rubado of Brasher; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father Joseph and her sister Bobby Jean Rubado.

Friends called at the Donaldson Funeral Home on Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brasher, with Rev. Garry Giroux celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
