NO ARRESTS IN KANA:TAKON HOMICIDE

(August 14, 2019) The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service is continuing to investigate a recent homicide that occurred on Sunday, August 11, 2019, in the district of Kana:takon (St. Regis). The victim has been identified as Jeffrey Allen Lazore-Arquette (age 58) of Akwesasne.

AMPS investigators were called to the scene and the scene was secured and processed with assistance from the Sûreté du Quebec Forensic Identification Unit. The scene has since been released. A post mortem examination has been performed and investigators are waiting for the complete report.

At this time, no arrests have been made in relation to this incident. The investigation is ongoing and police have no information to suggest that the greater public is at further risk.

No further information will be released at this time.
