The CHASE Committee organized this year's Hero Family 5k, held on Monday July 8th as a part of Akwesasne Wellness Week's activities. The family fun event began at 5 pm, with the ladies from Iakwa'shatste Youth Fitness greeting all the little super heroes with a smile. Every family who registered for this free event had an opportunity to earn tickets for every lap completed on the Tewathahita Walking Trail. After, they could use the tickets to enter for a chance to win some great door prizes. In addition, the best dressed family dressed as a super hero brought home a special prize also.
