Anthony Brant Gets Gold at World Invitational Games

Our own Anthony Brant, former AMS student who now attends CCVS, recently competed in the World Invitational Games in Toronto from May 14th-17th. He participated in Athletics (Track and Field). This event was sponsored by the Ontario Special Olympics. He successfully won gold medals in the 100m, 400m, 4x100 relay, and shot put. He also placed 5th in the 200m.

He was proud to be part of the CCVS Special Olympics team. CCVS brought home a total of 5 gold medals, 3 silvers and a 4th and 5th place finish. Anthony and his family would like to thank CKON radio bingo, and the Akwesasne Community Partnership Fund for their generous donation that enabled his family to attend the event and cheer him on. We would also like to extend a huge thanks to the staff and students at CCVS for all their efforts in fundraising and continuing to strive to be inclusive of all students. An extra special thank you goes to Kahentente for always believing in Anthony and encouraging him to aim high!
