The Native North American Travelling College Board of Directors is looking for a Museum Trainee to coordinate and present the museum in an appropriate educational public format. The Museum Trainee would also organize activities, events and workshops related to the museum exhibits or other contemporary issues affecting First Nation peoples.

The Museum Trainee will report directly to the Manager of the NNATC.

Qualifications:

Will consider a highly motivated high school graduate with two years of work experience but prefer college or university education focused in Native Studies, Museum Studies, Graphic Arts, History or Anthropology.

Candidate must also possess:

• Mohawk speaker or willingness to learn.

• Good public speaking skills.

• Good writing and computer skills.

• Able to network.

• Knowledge of computer programs.

• Available evenings and weekends.

• Must have a vehicle and driver’s license.
