On Tuesday, October 16th, Tsi Snaihne School participated in the Upper Canada Junior Boys Soccer Tournament. Nineteen students in grades 4-6 travelled to Kinsmen Field in Cornwall to face opponents from schools throughout the Upper Canada School Board.
The team placed third in their pool to earn a berth in the 'C' championship. They battled hard against a strong team from Long Sault, but came up short, losing 2-0. Tsi Snaihne School beat Bridgewood 1-0 and tied Central 2-2 to earn a spot in the final game.
Coaches Mr. O'Connell and Mrs. Cook are proud of the soccer team. They improved each game and put forth their best effort all day. The represented Tsi Snaihne School respectfully and responsibly.
Special mention goes to the grade 6 girls, Joey, Kamri, Darla and Orahkwinon, who were willing to help the boys improve their soccer skills, and goalie Ruckus who stopped two penalty shots in one day.
